These structures were all made with a cutting edge
technology called Insulated Concrete Forms or ICFs.
They are a two sided block with 2" of dense Styrofoam
on the inside and outside of the form. This insulation
give the structure a greater than an R40 value.
Since concrete is poured between the two pcs of insulation,
the structure will now take a 150 mph direct hit from wind.
The structure will also be very sound proof.
We stress the energy efficiency of home construction
by using ICFs. We can also build a wood home too.
